Courage doesn't mean that you don't get afraid. Courage means you don't let fear stop you." - Bethany Hamilton
To live a creative life we must lose our fear of being wrong"
Samskriti Foundation strongly believes that the arts can be highly therapeutic, enriching and transformative for all sections of the community. The arts not only provide a system of communication and expression, but they also produce something tangible, which in turn can bring about a sense of accomplishment, engagement, and creative expression.
Children with special needs need a warm and nurturing environment with consistent support, to learn and thrive in the arts. To serve their needs, we have launched the 'Special needs arts circle' in collaboration with 'Breaking Barriers' a social initiative that organizes various programs for children with special needs.
Through the Special needs arts circle, we organize various cultural events which are specially focused on augmenting the learning and enjoyment for children with special needs and their families. We typically plan 6 to 7 separate workshops in different venues in Naperville every year.
The program has received a great response and now we have several families participating. Several special needs children trained by us participate in the public event 'Time to Shine,' in honor of Autism Awareness Month, which we organize every year in the month of April.
