Vandana Iyengar
Vandana's journey with Samskriti started way back in 2006 when she joined as a music student along with her husband. She was involved with the Foundation from the moment she joined. Vandana would be the master of ceremonies for most of the programs, help with stage co-ordination, ticketing and various other aspects of organizing a show. She took a break to start her family and came back to Samskriti for her daughter's dance lessons. She also took the opportunity at this point to restart her dance training. She also received a grant from the Illinois Arts Council to pursue intensive training in Bharatanatyam under Shoba's guidance.
Vandana's contribution to the Foundation and the Academy has been immense. She has been primarily responsible for building & maintaining the website for the organization, streamlining processes, planning workshops and supporting the day to day running of Samskriti.
Says Vandana.. "Being involved with Samskriti and working with Shoba has given me several wonderful opportunities. Shoba has not only encouraged me to pursue my dance but has also been a great mentor and friend. I am very proud to be associated with such an accomplished artiste and a foundation that imparts quality education to the community."
